Welcome to the Wilkes County Register of Deeds website!

It is an honor to maintain, preserve and safeguard our citizens important records.

We are protecting and preserving the History of our lives.

Our records are received, recorded and indexed according the North Carolina General Statutes.

Some of the documents we record are Deeds, Deeds of Trust, Power of Attorneys, Assumed Names, Plats, Separation Agreements, Foreclosures, Birth, Death and Marriage records, Notary Public Oaths & Registry & Military Discharge Records.

Our office is ever-changing as we have began digitizing records, so keep checking back for new updates. Wilkes County Register of Deeds went online July 1st, 2017. You can now access land records from our new website, www.wilkesncrod.org. You can find out more about the website with the link below.

We are here to serve you. Please feel free to contact me or my staff for any assistance. We will be happy to help you.

Stop by the office and research some family or county history. Our land records date back to the formation of the county, 1778. Our Birth and Death records date back to 1913, with some Delayed Birth records having earlier dates. We have marriage license dating back to 1882 and some earlier record-only entries. You just never know what kind of fascinating History you will find in our well-kept records.

It is a pleasure to serve Wilkes County Citizens. Thank you for entrusting me to safeguard your very important records. My door is always open,

Your Register of Deeds,
