UPDATE: Please follow the guidance from the non regulatory boil advisory from the Town of North Wilkesboro and through the State of North Carolina Environmental Health Division. The Wilkes County Health Department Environmental Health Staff are advising facilities that receive North Wilkesboro water to follow the guidance from the boil advisory, but as precautionary measures are encouraged to turn ice machines off, dump all ice, clean and sanitize machines once clearance is provided. Recommend using all paper products. If you cannot meet the guidance in the advisory, then it is recommended that you close your facility.

Long term care facilities are recommended to use emergency back up water plan until clearance is provided.
