EMT-Paramedic Grade 66, Full-Time – Wilkes County is seeking highly motivated applicants who possess professional communication skills and the ability to handle a wide range of situations in a professional manner. Employees in this class perform paramedic level life support, stabilization procedures, and emergency medical care in the Emergency Medical Services unit of Wilkes County. Employee must currently possess Paramedic certification or be enrolled in a Paramedic program.

NC or National Registry Paramedic
Excellent driving record and a valid driving license required
Prefer ACLS, BTLS and Pals certified

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR, Grade 61 (Full-time) – The Wilkes County Landfill is seeking applicants for a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator position. An employee in this class operates heavy equipment such as large dozers, compactors, off road trucks, motor graders, loaders, and other equipment to clear land in the landfill, spread and cover varied solid waste with dirt, compact, and to grade and landscape the landfill site or for other similar purposes. Applicant must possess considerable knowledge of the operation, maintenance, capabilities and limitations of heavy equipment and general landfill maintenance. Three 12 hour days per week. High school education or equivalent required. Commercial Driver’s License highly preferred. Open until filled. Part-Time RECYCLING ATTENDANT. Position requires the oversight of recyclables at the Wilkes County Landfill. Must be responsible, able to direct the general public with garbage disposal and able to lift up to 50 lbs. High school education or equivalent required. Schedule – Monday's & Tuesday’s, additional time as needed. Open until filled. $12.00 per hour.
